2007 Honda Fit Body and structure Problems

“Significant water leak through the driver's side doors causing accumulation of mold and other irritants. As an asthmatic this car has almost been undriveable. I spend countless hours drying the carpet and leaving the windows open to air out. Have not found a fungicide or odorant to cover the mold. Just as soon as I dry it up, the next rain storm will drench it all over again.”

“Heavy rain causes my 2007 Honda FIT to leak into the rear passenger floor board. The first time it happened it was under warranty and I was told that the automatic carwash was to strong. By the time I discovered the water, it had started to mold under the floor mat. It happened 4 times before I could get it corrected. By this time it was out of warranty and they did not have a record of my reporting it the first time. The fix that was done was re-sealing the door panel.”

“Water is leaking into trunk spare tire compartment and floor underneath rear seats, especially on the passenger side of the car. Took car to dealer for repair in the morning, left for entire day and was told that they could not diagnose the source of the water leak. Dealer told me I would need to bring back the car for further testing that could take a few hours and at least $300. I cannot afford to keep taking in the car for the entire day, paying a lot of money and not even have a guarantee the problem will be fixed. …”

“After a very heavy rainstorm, we found standing water in the rear passenger side floor; the rear driver side floor was also very wet. We have taken the vehicle to our local dealership multiple times over the past 10 months. They have replaced the plastic sheeting inside the door several times and used different kinds of adhesive to attach the plastic sheeting. However, water is still leaking into the car whenever we get heavy rain (over 1 inch). The car is starting to smell moldy, because it is extremely difficult to get the carpet dry.”

“Finding water buildup in the front drive floorboards of my 2007 Honda FIT. Generally this happens after rainstorms with significant downpour and I didnt notice this because lately weather's been pretty good. Now I'm finding the wet spot with mold to go along with it as well underneath the foam piece underneath the carpet. Others have helped me trace it to my door seals and there is much mold growth underneath, so even before I discovered this it must have happened before but in lesser degree. …”
