“In the morning when I first turn on the car there is big jerk when changing gears from 15 to 20mph I turn the car off and back on and it goes away this happens only once in the morning. During the day driving the streets a very small shudder jerk is felt not as big as the one in the mornings but this one is constant through the day”
NHTSA complaint #11254407, filed 2019-09, 87,000 miles“My 2014 Odyssey have the transmission clunk. When slowing down to under 20-30km/h then lifting off the brake then applying the gas the transmission clunks/shudders loudly and you feel it. I can reproduce this 95% of the time. I will be taking this into the dealer and will update. But seeing that there are numerous people complaining of this exact thing Honda needs to issue a recall.”
NHTSA complaint #10839487, filed 2016-03, 1 miles“I've noticed on cold nights/days (temps below 40 degrees). The engine temp is slightly lower than normal. The vehicle at a complete stop (at stop lights) then go that while I accelerate it stalls, the gas pedal would go down but would not accelerate then after a few seconds would jerk into speed. I've had 4 other Honda's and this is the first one that has done this.”
NHTSA complaint #10575527, filed 2014-03, 1,700 miles“While I am driving the Honda Odyssey today, everytime I was increasing the speed from 0, it was giving big jerk. I stopped and again increased the speed, same problem. I turned it off and restarted, then it was fine. Same thing happened many times in past, but never recognized the pattern.”
NHTSA complaint #10874515, filed 2016-06, 11,000 miles“I was driving 70mph on an interstate. The battery light came on. There was no immediate change in vehicle performance and there were no odors present so I continued driving for several minutes towards the next exit. About .5mi away from the exit, the ABS, fcw, ldw, and brake lights came on, the air conditioner and console turned off, and the automatic transmission disengaged. This prevented the vehicle from being able to accelerate. The entire vehicle essentially lost power. …”
