Example complaints

Air bags: “Takata recall my sister was driving a 2011 Honda Ridgeline on I-85 on may 2, 2015 when the vehicle started off the left side of the road she corrected this and the truck overturned. Two others in the truck were able to get to get out but my sister had to be cut from the vehicle. All were taken to hospital and released but 12 days later my sister died as a result of trauma to the lungs. Recalls for this vehicle were dated 02/12/2016 and 05/23/2016 a little late. I have the accident report and the autopsy but have no way to upload them.”

NHTSA complaint #10946923, filed 2017-01, 100,000 miles

Body and structure: “I have repeatedly been in touch with dealerships and Honda USA about a paint defect. I have had this corroborated with paint and body shops and Honda. Refuses to do anything, even though they say it's a known issue for that year. And model.”

NHTSA complaint #11690310, filed 2025-09

Other or unknown: “The rear sliding window shattered without any impact. I got into the truck and started the vehicle. It was still stationary. A few small pieces of glass flew off onto the back seat. The rest luckily was held intact by the window tint film. I can only imagine what would of happened with a rear facing child seat and no window tinting. I am pretty confident the glass would of exploded onto the small child seated there. I was lucky my children were not in the back seat.”
