“I purchased my new 2024 Honda Ridgeline new at the end of 2024. The vehicle currently has approximately 29,000 miles and still has all four original factory Firestone Destination LE2 tires, size 245/60R18. All four tires are showing significant dry rot and cracking in the tread, specifically between the outside row of tread and the next row in. The cracks run around the tires and are in nearly the exact same location on all four tires. Some of the cracking is also spreading into the surrounding tread. …”
NHTSA complaint #11771954, filed 2026-10“I am filing this complaint regarding the OEM General Grabber A/T tires (date code 1424) that came with my brand new 2024 Honda Ridgeline, purchased in June 2024. At approximately 16,000 miles, I noticed significant dry rotting and cracking between the treads on all four tires. This was observed right before a planned long-distance trip, raising serious safety concerns. I maintain proper tire pressure and take excellent care of my vehicle, and I live in Vermont where the climate is harsh but not extreme enough to justify this kind of premature deterioration. …”
