“My ABS brake module failed on tuesday afternoon 12/13/17. I had very little braking power, pedal goes to the floor. I bought it to the dealer and they said the brake module needs to be replaced. We were going straight and almost hit the car in front of us. I bought the Genesis in oct. 2011 new. It is a 2012 with 32,789 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11062267, filed 2018-01, 32,789 miles

“Soft braking, intermittent. Pedal goes down to the floor and must be pumped to stop. I took it to my go-to guy who specializes in brakes and he couldn't recreate it. He took look at everything and couldn't find issue in the brakes themselves. Recently happened again.”

NHTSA complaint #11234320, filed 2019-07, 109,321 miles

“Driving home last night my entire braking system went out. I lost all control to use the brakes to stop and all indicator lights were lit up on the dashboard. I notice a recall issue with the hecu but looks like my vehicle is not included in the recall. Why is that?”

NHTSA complaint #11244329, filed 2019-08, 135,000 miles

“I was turning to park in my parking space and all of a sudden the car began to accelerate with such speed that I thought it would jump the curb and crash into my home. I was unable to stop the car and the brakes were unresponsive. It hit the curb and finally came to a stop with a terrible shudder/noise.”

NHTSA complaint #10821318, filed 2016-01, 12,180 miles

“Approached an exit from a parking lot and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor without applying the brake. Was able to pump the brake pedal and get the brakes to work. The pedal now is about half of what it used to be and requires pumping each time the brakes are used to apply the brakes. Pedal is erratic; sometimes I have about half pedal before a firm brake pedal. Other times it is even lower. I have no pictures or documentation to include that would be relevant to this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11408370, filed 2021-04, 83,386 miles
