“Hyundai Genesis 2012 engine stalls in traffic at slow speeds. As I was slowing down ona crowded freeway on ramp the engine died. All lights went on and I had no control over the car steering or brakes. After a minute or so I was able to restart the car and it seems to drive normally. This is the third time this has happened”

I was unable to stop the car and the brakes were unresponsive. It hit the curb and finally came to a stop with a terrible shudder/noise.”

I pulled over and the car coasted to a stop. All the lights went on on the dash and headlights stayed on, so there was battery power available. I placed the car in park and it restarted and drove normally. However, this has now happened three times now in last 6 months without warning.--very dangerous.”
NHTSA complaint #11019938, filed 2017-08, 3 miles“2012 Genesis sedan consistently stalls under medium to low speeds while braking or making a turn. All warning lights come on and loss of steering and braking occurs. Car is difficult to control safely without use of emergency brake due to the loss of steering/braking. This incident now occurs with each car trip while traveling on all kinds or roads and at various speeds but not more than 40 miles an hour. I am worried for the safety of my wife and 3 year old child since I take them everywhere with me. …”
