“I am reporting a safety-related defect with a 2025 Hyundai Palisade SEL. Within days of purchase (December 14, 2024), I began experiencing abnormal noise and vibration from the rear of the vehicle. The issue consistently occurs at highway speeds (45–55 mph) and over bumps. The problem has been present since the first week of ownership and has worsened over time. …”
NHTSA complaint #11734788, filed 2026-04“I was driving not even 5 miles per hour because I was coming to a turn I was making there was bumps in the road I ran over and lost control of the car no steering at all I couldn't stop it felt like I had a blow out and then I stomped on the brake hard and it stopped before it hit the curb with no codes or anything to tell Me what happened”
NHTSA complaint #11655462, filed 2025-04“On 9/15/26 I had activated my left turn signal and was entering the left hand turn lane. About halfway into the lane, the vehicle dashboard displayed “Emergency steering activated” and began forcing my steering wheel the opposite direction for no reason. There was no traffic and I was not crossing into somewhere I shouldn’t. This was extremely dangerous. I haven’t notified Hyundai. Weather was sunny and clear.”
NHTSA complaint #11764504, filed 2026-09“I was driving slowly, about 5 mph, and was pulling over on a residential street to park on the street, and my Hyundai started shaking…the steering wheel and car were shaking and the brakes weren’t working. I nearly rear ended a car full of people. It did eventually a stop and the whole thing lasted maybe 10 seconds but it was terrifying. I had it towed to the dealership and they can’t seem to duplicate it.”
NHTSA complaint #11694840, filed 2025-10“The issue my car is having happens when the car is but I am at a complete stop and the auto on/off stop engages. I start again and turn the wheel all the way to the left and begin to drive. The wheel locks, then violently snaps back. In some instances it will set off the sensors and disengage the vehicle while I’m pulled out into traffic. I have brought this to the dealerships attention as well as corporate Hyundai. I was told they were able to recreate the problem and it is standard operating procedure. …”
