“While sitting in the third row and attempting to grab something, my husband accidentally pushed the fold buttons and seats began to close on me. It continued to close until my husband was able to push the button to reverse it. It did not register there was a person in the way and I could’ve been seriously injured if he was not there”
NHTSA complaint #11726991, filed 2026-03“The second row captains chairs are able to be buckled when any booster or car seats are in the seat. The seat belt buckle is too far flush into the seat, so when any car seat/booster seat is in the seat, the buckle is inaccessible and blocked and the seat belt is not able to be used. We had to purchase seat belt extenders so the seat belt could be buckled. We spoke to Hyundai corporate and the local service center and they confirmed nothing could be done.”
NHTSA complaint #11694656, filed 2025-10“I own a 2025 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. The front seat pivot link bolt (the bolt that secures the seat cushion to the seat track and serves as the pivot for the height-adjustment mechanism) has loosened. As a result, the driver’s seat shifts and rocks forward/backward and up/down while driving. This is a safety concern because it can alter seating position, reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt and airbag system, and increase the risk of the seat moving unexpectedly in a crash. I took the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership. …”
NHTSA complaint #11774566, filed 2026-10“Brandon Hyundai sold me this vehicle with an active stop sale. On February 20, 2026, I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Palisade from the dealership. After taking delivery of the vehicle, I discovered that the VIN associated with the vehicle was subject to an active manufacturer stop-sale related to a safety recall for which no remedy was available at the time of delivery. This critical information was not disclosed to me during the sales process and was not reflected in any documentation provided at closing, including the buyer’s order or “We Owe” form. …”
NHTSA complaint #11724771, filed 2026-03“The third-row seats in my 2025 Hyundai Palisade are closing fully even when there are clear obstructions in the seat path. I tested this multiple times — including with case of water — and the seats did not stop, reverse, or provide any safety resistance. They closed completely each time. I am aware this exact issue has already been identified and recalled in the 2026 Palisade, which raises major concerns about whether the same defect exists in the 2025 model. After repeating the test with several different objects and getting the same dangerous result, I am extremely alarmed. …”
