“I purchased the 2025 CPO Palisade Calligraphy in April 9, 2025. Two weeks after I purchased it, I started noticing abnormal scratches and chips in the windshield. I had not driven behind a vehicle that threw rocks, I was not a beach for sand to scratch, nor had my vehicle been exposed to a creature that could have scratched the windshield. I reached out to my sales person and he said he'd connect back with me. That never happened. A couple months later, after getting my car detailed, I noticed many more scratches and dozens of chips. …”

NHTSA complaint #11705531, filed 2025-12

“Purchased car new on 01/10/2025. Drove across country to my home without any problems. At 3300 miles, on 02/21/2025, I was entering circular freeway onramp when a horizontal crack about 6 inches long in windshield suddenly appeared midway up on driver's side. No object observed striking glass either visually or audibly. After parking, crack was in outer glass layer with no indication of impact damage, such as spider cracking. Small glass fragments flaked off in area where glass crack originated. Crack has continued expanding horizontally to about 18 inches as of this writing. …”

NHTSA complaint #11644409, filed 2025-02

“My windshield appears to be extremely prone to rock chips and cracks. My vehicle is available for inspection. My Hyundai is only a year old and has several rock chips and a large crack in the windshield. This is now beginning to affect the visibility through my windshield. The problem has not been reported to the dealer but it will be on my next service appointment. Im pretty confident that the dealer will tell me to contact my insurance. The problem has not been reported to anyone at this time. My other vehicles do not have this problem and they are a lot older than my Hyundai.”

NHTSA complaint #11700665, filed 2025-11

“The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 60 MPH, the front windshield fractured in several places while attempting to swat a mosquito, resulting in eight crack lines across the glass. The contact stated that the windshield cracked more easily than expected. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11764336, filed 2026-09, 23,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard a loud sound and noticed that the sunroof had unexpectedly exploded. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,600.”
