“I was making a loop around under the freeway. It wasn't raining and the road was dry. It was daylight and I was not going fast. As I made the turn, the brakes and steering wheel both locked up. I couldn't turn the steering wheel or brake. I hit the median and narrowly missed hitting a pole. I do not feel comfortable or safe driving this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11197179, filed 2019-04, 24,300 miles

“The warning light saying that the emergency braking system is temporarily disabled keeps coming on and off multiple times a day and it disables the adaptive cruise control when I an driving in cruise control. It happens while vehicle is in motion in all kinds of circumstances and weather and have taken car to dealer 3 times without any solution. Have tried cleaning sensors multiple times. Dealer has seen it happening twice in a 10-15 minute test drive documenting it. Hyundai consumer assurance has not resolved the problem either. It has been happening since december 2018. …”

NHTSA complaint #11196103, filed 2019-04, 26,000 miles

“I am concerned about the length of time this recall is taking. My dealership made an appointment for March 15, 2023 and told me it is just to look at it and decide if they need to order the part. This does not sound safe. If something happens between now and then can I hold them responsible. I have made the effort. Can I go to a regular mechanic to have this fixed”

NHTSA complaint #11496624, filed 2022-12

“My ABS Lights the triangle with the ! In the middle goes in and off the down hill control light and the sweet control light all go on when the ABS light goes on my oil was completely dry had to add two quarts while the engine was ticking when started and when accelerating it was making a clicking noise I still had 3000 miles before needed an oil change but like I said it was bone dry and then the drivers seat was going back and not wanting to come back up I’ve only had the car 42 days and it’s having all kinds of problems”

NHTSA complaint #11732824, filed 2026-04

“All the ABS, Traction Control lights come on at various times. They will stay on for hours to days and then go off. I asked Hyundai to fix it, even took a pic with me when I was there last, and they said there was nothing wrong with it. It still does it. I don't know if anything is actually wrong, a bad sensor, or what. It has been doing it for 2 years. The speed of the vehicle does not matter. When it comes on, it can be from start or during driving. Sometimes restarting will solve it. Not always.”
