“I was driving at approximately 65 MPH using the advanced cruise control system. Randomly, the system disengaged and I started getting 2 MIL warnings on my console. MIL warning 1) was Check Forward Safety System and 2) warning the advanced cruise control parameters are not met due to warning 1. A few minutes later, I received a message on my Hyundai Blue Link app showing DTC C162078. …”
NHTSA complaint #11657018, filed 2025-04“While driving I could not accelerate over 35 mph on the freeway this has happened at 10 times now. While driving my parking brake will come on causing me to stop immediately. This is a huge safety risk not only to me but the people in my car or driving around me. My vehicle has been brought to dealerships multiple times and nothing has been done they can’t find the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11578546, filed 2024-03“I have videos of these two incidents and others that I could not upload. While driving on the PA Turnpike at 4:25PM on 5/22/26 75 mph my accelerator pedal stopped responding, my front collision warning light, engine, EPB, and numerous other lights came on across my dashboard despite there being no contact with any object and my speed rapidly dropped. The front camera came on as if there was an object too close. I was in the middle lane. …”
NHTSA complaint #11745518, filed 2026-06“On several occasions now The vehicle is engaging the automatic emergency braking system for no reason. Several times I have been driving on the highway without a car in front of me and it engages the automatic emergency braking system. This has caused me to almost be rear-ended because my vehicle slammed on the brakes. I have almost been in several accidents now due to the automatic emergency braking activating for no reason and cars almost hitting me.”
NHTSA complaint #11545939, filed 2023-09“On three separate occasions over 18 months, the car has entered into front collision avoidance mode by unexpectedly swerving the vehicle and braking. Twice I was on the tollway doing 70 mph on a 4 lane expressway and I drove in between two tractor/trailer semis. When I reached mid point, the car braked heavy on it's own and swerved first the right, then to left. In each incident, not only did it scare the hell out of me, I thanked god I avoided a major accident from crashing into the trucks and or being hit from behind. …”
