“Was driving on the highway while it was in cruise control and on several occasions when trying to accelerate the vehicle would jerk aggressively and struggle to accelerate. It did this about 3 times on my way to my destination. Took it in and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it nor could they replicate the issue. No work was on done on it.”

NHTSA complaint #11598725, filed 2024-07

“In November 2025, my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe began to hesitate when accelerating and would almost jerk when I pressed the gas pedal. Soon after my check engine light came on and I made an appt to take it for the closest Hyundai dealership (as it's still under warranty 33k miles) Upon running a check the dealership notified me that Fuel Injector 1 has misfired and will be replaced. I receive my vehicle back and not even 100 miles later my check engine light in on again and the same issues are arising. …”

NHTSA complaint #11718320, filed 2026-02

“Bought Car in 2022 when COVID was still a problem. I had problems with the LED screen on the dash turning off. It did come back after about 10-15 minutes. I had to pull over to the side of the road in the meantime. I brought my car in and no problem was found. I was told that there was no way they could order a $6,000 part if they could not reproduce the problem. I still have had this problem periodically, but it does not last as long. This can be a safety risk when the screen goes out when driving. …”

“I filled up my gas tank and the digital guage was on 266 miles. After I filled up, it was the exact same mileage on the dashboard. It did not move after putting in about 4-5 gallons of gas.”

NHTSA complaint #11587327, filed 2024-05

“A few days before the complete engine failure the car became very jerky on the throttle response I would slowly add throttle and the car would jump all over the place with RPMs and felt extremely jerky when shifting gears. At one point the engine downshifted past redline when decelerating off the highway. The day of the engine failure I was accelerating up hill after leaving a stop sign. Around 25 mph the throttle stopped responding and the engine went to idle around 800 rpm. The car started violently shaking and sounding like it was running on 3 cylinders. …”
