“I was driving down the interstate going around 60-65mph. I heard a loud boom that sounded like a gunshot, as soon as I had a safe moment to pull over I then realized it was my sunroof that has busted. I then was able to step out of my car and realized my sunroof had busted from the inside out. I am very thankful that I was able to stay calm, cool, and collective. I couldn't imagine if the pull of my sunroof from inside the call had been opened. It would have defiantly caused a hazard not only to myself but to other passengers and drivers on the highway.”

NHTSA complaint #10671663, filed 2015-01, 52,000 miles

“While the vehicle was in reverse, the dashboard's back up camera screen remained completely unidentifiable throughout the rainy weather day, with only dark wavey jagged lines streaming throughout the back-up camera's live video display screen making it impossible to view who or what was behind the vehicle within the vehicle's blind spots.”

NHTSA complaint #10522808, filed 2013-07, 18,000 miles

“Low pressure tire warning light comes on and remains on even though tire pressure is checked and is normal. Problem seems to be related to outside temperature. Whenever the temperature falls below 40 degree f the warning will come on and remain on. False warning will not tell truth about a low tire.”

NHTSA complaint #10661049, filed 2014-11, 25,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. While the vehicle was idling, a knocking noise was heard. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 15v568000 (engine), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed that the bearings on the air condition compressor failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 124,000.”

NHTSA complaint #10839930, filed 2016-03, 124,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The contact mentioned that in order to maintain control of the vehicle, he engaged the brakes and shifted into neutral. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they would contact him at a later date. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 18,000. N updated 4/24/13 the consumer stated the failure could not be duplicated. …”
