“Wind deflector previously fixed twice before via recalls came loose again. I was on the interstate with the sunroof open. Had to hold it down to prevent damage until I could get off the freeway safely. Had to manually hold it down as I closed the roof while outside of the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11328681, filed 2020-06, 109,000 miles“Since leasing the vehicle on august 1 I constantly complained about the gas mileage which Hyundai indicated would be resolved on the following oil change. The oil change barely effected the mileage efficiency which leads to the second issue when the gas gauge shows below a quarter on the tank the cruise control does not work and is also affected in high mountain areas. …”
NHTSA complaint #10682526, filed 2015-02, 9,720 miles“Vehicle is equipped with hands-free calling and voice access to calling located on steering wheel. These functions do not work unless the radio is first turned on. In addition, calls cannot be made from the console by pressing the phone button unless the radio is activated first - no actions occur when first pressing the steering wheel controls or the console phone button, this is a safety issue as it constitutes a distraction for the drive in any emergency situation while the vehicle is moving. There is no change in this function for a stationary vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #11327269, filed 2020-06, 26,750 miles“My infotainment unit stoped working after an update that was pushed to the car by Hyundai. My battery was beginning to show signs that it needed replacing (not cranking in the cold temps or needing a few tries to start), so I went to Advance Auto to have the battery replaced. Once back in the car, everything was working fine (radio with sirius XM, back up camera, Navigation, Android and Apple car plan, the clock, everything). When I went to reset the clock, the car showed a software update was availabe and needed to be downloaded. Never before, had I seen this. So, I selected update. …”
