“Parked or windows up gasoline vapor is inside vehicle. Source is a cracking fuel pump. Located under rear seat underneath an access cover. Youtube has videos. I'm not on youtube that is another party. I live in arizona and I park my vehicle on driveway, it gets really hot. I do not believe the plastic that cracker can take the heat!”

NHTSA complaint #11228290, filed 2019-06, 75,000 miles

“Vehicle driver received audio and visual alert while driving at high rate of speed that the hybrid warning failed and to check hybrid system-turn engine off and to pull over safely. However, the vehicle locked and lost all power making it impossible to safely exit the interstate almost instantly after the alarm. Upon research, I manage a large vehicle fleet, we have multiple other Sonata's with the same issue-and there is a TSB for this known safety failure (17-hc-003-1).”

NHTSA complaint #11383384, filed 2020-12, 118,000 miles

“Car looses power for a few seconds while driving after accelerating. On local road at 35mph and on highway at 65mph. This occurred following a service recall for this issue. Campaign t1h and and campaign 150 vcm inspect or replacement and ECM upgrade. Started happening as a very short incident so I did not realize what was happening. Recently episodes were a few seconds long so I could determine what happened. Multiple times.”

NHTSA complaint #10956238, filed 2017-02, 29,000 miles

“My fuel filler door opener is not working. Hyundai has this recall for other vehicles but not for my model and year, this is clearly something wrong with their product and the want me to pay up to $500 in parts and labor?”

NHTSA complaint #11155556, filed 2018-12, 78,000 miles

“I purchased a used 2015 Hyundai Sonata with 43k miles. I have had it for three months with minor problems such as sluggish acceleration, hard deceleration when removing foot from gas pedal, and a noisy engine. However, on 4-8-2016 at about 7:30 am, I was attempting a left turn on a busy metropolitan street when the 2015 Hyundai Sonata shut down suddenly, completely turned off! All the warning lights on the dash lit up like a christmas tree and then went dead. …”
