“On friday the 13th of february while driving on a main intersection my car just stopped in the middle of the road. There was traffic on both sides of the road and of course people didn't have any patience and I was stuck and placed my blinkers on. And waited for aaa to arrive. The car was in motion and then stationary.”

NHTSA complaint #11396436, filed 2021-02, 110,980 miles

“My car has been blowing out white smoke out of the exhaust. I seen there has been alot of recall issues on the Hyundai. I got a letter informing the recall of the air bags. I bought this car in september 2017. I dont know if the previous owner had the issue fixed on the recalls about the engine, brakes, and seat belts.”

NHTSA complaint #11113669, filed 2018-07, 162,234 miles

“After putting gas in my car the gas gauge is everywhere. I can stop and restart my car after filling it and it will say I'm empty. Whether I'm actually driving at the moment or stationary, the gauge will constantly move up and down. I have to keep an eye on my mileage to know how much I really have. It has been happening for over a year now. I've seen other stories online of many others having the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11096637, filed 2018-05, 72,000 miles

“I had problems with my car took it to a shop I was told had to replace my fuel pump an I did the problem never seem to have been fix after that took it my dealer an they had my car for a month told me it was a recall on it but they didn't fix the problem”

NHTSA complaint #11319646, filed 2020-03, 151,000 miles

“The Hyundai Sonata 2011 fuel pump failed and the car stopped in the middle of the road. Putting me in danger of an accident. The engine had been replaced, and other sonatas have reported problems with the fuel pump. The cost of repair was $605 for the pump and $300 for the labor. This pump is in the fuel tank and is very dangerous. It should be recalled just like the ones in the 2013 & 2014. I want a refund of my money to fix this dangerous problem.”
