“My front right coil spring broke for the second time. Both incidences occurred while driving in very cold weather. Both incidences happened while making a right turn. I heard the metal fall out of my car so I parked and was able to pick up the portion of the coil that fell off. I attached a picture for closer review.”

NHTSA complaint #11172758, filed 2019-01, 90,000 miles

“My vehicle was well kept. It had two accidents which were not my fault but didn't involve the suspension. This week the coil spring snapped on one side and is going to break on the other according to the repair shop they say it's due to struts being under stress. The local Hyundai dealership thought there is a recall on this? The car has had all of its routine service and recalls repaired. Is there any thing I can do?”

NHTSA complaint #11320119, filed 2020-04, 135,000 miles

“I pulled into a parking lot after hearing a loud crack. I got out of the car and saw that my drivers side rear tire was falling off the car. The upper control arm mounting bolt cracked and was broken causing drivers side rear tire coming off of vehicle. This is a serious safety issue. I could have been seriously injured. This should be a recall situation. I have documentation I can fax....it will not download as it is too many pages.”

NHTSA complaint #11046114, filed 2017-11, 53,464 miles

“I was driving down the highway going about 60 MPH and all the sudden it's like the car shuts off, slowing to about 45. As I push on gas it does nothing then about 3 seconds later jerks back up and then repeats. It does this now everytime I am traveling. Besides giving me whiplash, it is dangerous because it could definitely cause a crash. My brake lights have been replaced 5 times in two years. Also there is always a loud clicking noise when driving. It sounds awful.”

NHTSA complaint #11268845, filed 2019-10, 90,000 miles

“I purchased the car in jan 2013 with 40k miles on the vehicle. The car would make a clicking noise when making hard turns. The problem has just escalated over time. I understand this is an axel problem. My car is a 2012 and should not have an axel problem at 40,000 miles.”
