“The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the cruise control malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the g4 sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer had not been notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10626669, filed 2014-08, 25,000 miles“The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Tucson. The contact was driving approximately 15 MPH. While depressing the brake an unintended acceleration occurred without warning. Immediately, extreme bodily force was required to depress the brake pedal until the vehicle came to a stop. The failure occurred at any speed under 15 MPH. The identical failure occurred on three separate occasions. The contact has been unsuccessful in reaching the manufacturer and an authorized dealer. The failure and current mileages were 1,199.”
