NHTSA complaint #11408002, filed 2021-04, 75,000 miles

2012: “Car was off and parked. Drove home could not get trunk/tail gate open. Key flob did not work on trunk but did work on all side car doors. I had to climb into trunk thru back seat to get groceries out of car trunk. I am very close to being 72 years old and it was a complete struggle getting in and out of trunk thru back seat especially on slanted driveway.”

NHTSA complaint #11363523, filed 2020-10, 52,000 miles

2016: “The problem started with a ticking noise. I changed the oil hoping that this would resolve the issue but nothing changed. So, on the way home from running errands I hit the gas and the car made a bunch of loud noises and then stalled. It also began leaking oil. I removed the panel from underneath to see what happened and saw a bunch of aluminum fragments all over the panel.”
