“Am radio reception became very weak when my 2004 xg350l was about 16 months old. One day, there was noticeably more static on all but the 2 strongest stations, compared with all the previous days. I live in a metropolitan area, and there are plenty of stations with a strong enough signal to get clear reception on my wife's car, and my previous car, circa 1992. I am scheduling an appointment to have the dealer look at it.”
NHTSA complaint #10154492, filed 2006-04, 4,000 miles“I have had my xg350l for a year and I love the vehicle except for the am radio. It never does clear on the stations, there is always a low volume buzz or whine. The dealer installed a capacitor at 2000 miles. Took it back in at 4000 miles, no better and the dealer said that it just the way am radios are. Well I have had a number of vehicles and the other vehicle we own does not have this problem. …”
