“Driving on the highway in fast lane during evening commute, my infinity malfunctioned - random engine shutoff. This malfunction disabled all features of vehicle - lights, steering, brakes, airbags, and more. (the previous section only let me select three affected parts) luckily I was able to coast vehicle to a stop on the inside of the highway without causing an accident, being injured myself or worse. Had to have vehicle towed from scene. …”
NHTSA complaint #11270479, filed 2019-10, 200,000 miles“Loss of power steering under normal driving conditions. I first noticed the brake and battery light on. When I attempted to make a left turn to get off of a major road, I realized I no longer had power steering. Fortunately, I was near a shopping center and was able to drive the car off the road and into the parking lot. Here's the end result. The dealer service center said the belt tensioner seized which broke the belt. In my case, the belt also tore off the front crank seal and engine oil was everywhere. My car is 2007 G35 sedan with 13,000 miles. …”
