“For years now my Infiniti G37 dashboard is melting causing obstruction to my visibility. Today on my way from work the glare was so bad I was so close to getting an accident. The reflection can sometimes make it hard to see at night! Nothing works I tried cleaning it with a wet rag and nothing works. Infiniti should take care of this problem it's absurd how a 'luxury' company tends to cut corners to make cheap dashboards.”

NHTSA complaint #11341468, filed 2020-07, 109,760 miles

“Dashboard is melting, cracking and sticky and causing a glare that is reflecting onto the windshield and causing visibility issues while driving, I owned the car for 3 years and only put 1500 miles on the car and purchase the car from florida”

NHTSA complaint #11287124, filed 2019-12, 60,125 miles

“Our 2009 Infiniti G37x has developed the dreaded sticky dash issue. The materials in the dashboard have broken down, as a result the dashboard has become VERY reflective. It creates a heavy glare on the windshield both day and night which affects our ability to see out of the windshield. The glare makes it very difficult to see a night when street lights and headlights reflect off of the dash. Thankfully there has been no accidents caused by this issue, but this greatly increases the risk of accident when driving this vehicle. This is a common issue among all vehicles from 2009. …”

NHTSA complaint #11699467, filed 2025-11

“The contact owns a 2009 Infiniti G37. The contact stated that the sunroof drain was clogged, allowing water to enter the vehicle causing electrical system failure. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11474896, filed 2022-07, 125,000 miles

“Takata recall same problem as other have stated airbag light, due to passenger seat sensors. Also melting dashboard, that causes glare to visibility and a safety hazard if the airbags did work. Unfortunately, the airbags have been disabled due to the sensor. Both the dashboard and airbag sensors have been recalled in other nissan and Infiniti models but not this model. Pretty much all the same parts for the the dash and airbags but this model has been excluded.”
