Example complaints

Steering: “I frequently incur tramlining when driving my M35 infinity. Almost any asphalt surface that has a paving overlap will cause it, and in some instances, it feels as though the steering wheel will be ripped from my hands. In fact, this event occurred yesterday, jul 15 on the east access road in tubac, az. This is truly a serious defect and unbecoming to the infinity brand.”

NHTSA complaint #10413163, filed 2011-07, 12,850 miles

Air bags: “The contact owns a 2010 Infiniti M35. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v349000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.”

NHTSA complaint #10892060, filed 2016-08

Vehicle speed control: “When car is slowing down, it will jump wildly with the RPM's and shift into different gears. Car could hit another car or person if the brake is not held firmly. Cannot get the local dealer or corp. To acknowledge the problem or fix it. The car is still under warranty. The problem is getting worse but the dealer says to drive it until there is a hard failure. I am concerned the car will jump and hit something or someone. The dealer says there could be a computer problem but they are not sure and do not want to eat the cost of a computer if that is not the problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10595380, filed 2014-06, 30,000 miles

Brakes: “On 5/8/15 I left paint shop and was going down a driveway (downhill) and as I approached street (rt 26 libery road) I pressed brake and my car would not stop. I repeatedly pressed brake and it continued to go forward into street. Cars were honking and swerving to avoid hitting me. I continued to press brake however my car continued to go forward about 100 meters thru a red light nearly colliding with several cars at the intersection of marriottsville & liberty road before it came to a stop. …”
