“The car won't accelerate when pressing the gas and also will jerk and jump when shifting. It's very dangerous when driving on the expressway because the car won't accelerate, but sometimes will take off on it's own even when I press the brake. This is definitely a transmission problem which I've heard before on several occasions about this particular car. Also, 2 lights stay on on my dash when these things are happening.”
NHTSA complaint #11344017, filed 2020-08, 85,000 miles“While driving the car would not accelerate and the transmission was hesitating severely when pushing on the accelerator. Problem continued until the car had no power and the engine shutdown without any dashboard gauge warnings in the middle of traffic, during rush hour. I placed it in neutral prior to complete shutdown. Cut off ignition and restarted ignition and car started as normal. Tried to drive but after five minutes began to shut down again. Per the dealer defect has something to do with the fuel injection sensors. This could have been a catastrophic event.”
