Example complaints

Steering: “Vehicle 4was light is on. While driving after making a turn the steering wheel un-aligns itself so when you look at it it's as if the car is unaligned. It then aligns itself at some point upon another turn. I did research after reading there has been many infinity recalls for steering issues. I am highly concerned I may get into an accident due to this manufacture issue. How can I get assistance to get this fixed?”

NHTSA complaint #11324913, filed 2020-05, 90,000 miles

Air bags: “In December, 2022, the airbag warning light activated. AT a cost to us of over $1500, the Infiniti dealer replaced the failed sensor. What we did not know is that this did not fix the problem and the air bag on the passenger side would never have deployed in the event of an accident. In November, 2023, the airbag warning light again activated. It turns out that the seat assembly had actually failed of which we were unaware. This is a very expensive repair to a part that should never have failed in the first place. …”

NHTSA complaint #11557170, filed 2023-11

Electrical system: “About 2 weeks ago my 4was and traction light came on while driving under 35 MPH in my subdivision in a straight line and nothing seems to fix it, now on wet roads car feels loose in the rear. I have heard lots of complaints about this system and feel it is a safety concern and should be a recall. Thanks”

NHTSA complaint #11141439, filed 2018-10, 1 miles

Transmission and drivetrain: “When I accelerate the vehicle doesn't speed up and sometimes it hesitates. This is dangerous especially when entering the freeway it takes a while after I accelerate for the car to get up to speed. Seems like a transmission issue. Infiniti needs a recall. I know several people with this car and have the same issue.”
