Example complaints

Air bags: “Hello, I purchased my Infiniti Q60 Red Sport brand new in 2028. About a year after that I started to have electrical issues with the car. I've brought it in to the Infiniti dealer in Valencia, CA numerous times during the warranty period (and a few times out of the warranty period), to have these issues addressed. Some were resolved and some were not. So In the past 4-5 years I've brought my vehicle in about 15 times or more to be fixed. The latest issue is a safety problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11629914, filed 2024-12

Steering: “I leased an Infiniti Q60 on december 9, 2017. On december 15, as I was driving the car, the steering became extremely tight and the power steering warning light came on. I pulled over, turned the car off and back on and the steering was fine. I drove the car a short distance home and had it towed to the dealer. At that time the car had approximately 450 miles on it. The dealer replaced the entire power steering system and returned the car to me on december 30, 2017. On sunday, january 7, 2018, my daughter took the car. …”

NHTSA complaint #11062737, filed 2018-01, 750 miles

Engine: “While driving home, I experienced an extreme amount of white smoke coming from my exhaust. The smoke was so severe that I could barely see vehicles behind me. Because I was on the freeway and concerned about my safety and the safety of others, I pulled over when safe and had the vehicle towed home and then to an Infiniti dealership for diagnostics. I had previously researched Infiniti’s extended powertrain warranty for turbochargers applicable to my specific year/model and learned of premature turbocharger failures and the potential for resulting engine damage. …”

NHTSA complaint #11758695, filed 2026-08

Other or unknown: “Co levels (exhaust fumes) being detected inside the cabin when operating vehicle. Co level increase directly correlated to acceleration (wide open throttle). Co levels recorded as high as 19ppm with AC on, windows closed, and recirculate on within 1/2 hour. Direct correlation observed via co detector, and levels drop immediately when recirculate is switched to fresh.”
