“Brand new car. Driven 600 miles. After shopping at Costco I get to the car and it is completely dead. Will not turn on and every single code possible popped on the screen. Luckily I wasn’t with my kids or out of town or this could’ve been a nightmare. How can this happen with a brand new car? Makes me afraid of what may happen in the future.”

NHTSA complaint #11573712, filed 2024-02

“The vehicle stopped communicating with the key fab. The whole car is dead because of this. I thought this was a 1 off type of thing, but I see this complaint and an article about this on the web. Waiting to see a repair from Jeep but they cant get parts. Being sitting at the dealership since monday february 14. Waiting on the communications thing to fix the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11453850, filed 2022-02

“The battery was recalled due to fire risk, but FSA indicated no repairs is available, and advised driver not to charge the car, and not to park it near any structural. I contacted (1) dealer (2) Chrysler capital (3) Jeep customer service. No body can provide any solution for this matter. I would like to have my leased car returned and get compensated for the months that I have already pre-paid (20 months left).”

NHTSA complaint #11622065, filed 2024-10

“While driving on the freeway, the vehicle turned off. No engine, no electric, no headlights. I had to coast to the side during traffic. The mechanic is replacing the OCR module, stating the car thought it was in a collision and turned off. Though obviously it wasn’t. Before which, the screen flashes off from time to time. The car has had loss of power for a moment in the past but never all the way off. This was extremely dangerous and I’m concerned the OCR will not fix the issue. It is with the dealership now.”

NHTSA complaint #11644038, filed 2025-02

“My vehicle has had continuous electrical issues, for instance today, I could NOT turn off the radio, some days the left speakers do not work. The CARPLAY and other features are intermittant. Secondly the power steering just randomly stopped working, the dealer states its the LOJACK, removed the LOJACK and now I have paid for a feature, that I no longer have, and just waiting for the next time the steering goes out, because there is no proof this is the problem. …”
