Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Driving 70mph on the highway, the tire low pressure light came on. Moments after, I noticed the steering was odd and seconds after I heard the flopping. The tire valve stem with TPMS failed. It had lost the nut which holds the stem to the wheel. I was going down the highway at 70mph! This is a safety hazzard and these need recalled and replaced with good parts!!!!!!!! This is the 2nd valve stem where the nut has disappeared and leaked air from the tire so it went flat! This is unexceptable. …”
