“The vacuum hose on this model constantly breaks. It broke as soon as I bought it. Have replaced multiple times. Last time was september and it has already broken again. The service tech told me that they see it all the time on this model. It was the second time they had seen a broken vacuum hose on a Renegade just that day! Why has there never been a recall to address this????????”

NHTSA complaint #11176087, filed 2019-02, 30,000 miles

“The brakes squeal constantly. We noticed it shortly after purchase but assumed it was from being a new vehicle. After owning the vehicle for a year, we took it in to have the brakes and roters replaced. We were told that there was a lot of padding remaining. The squealing occurs whenever your foot is on the break, regardless if you are still or slowing.”

NHTSA complaint #11039194, filed 2017-10, 7,000 miles

“At 38,000 miles my cooling fan came loose while driving. Took to dealership and was told warranty would not cover. My seatbelt sensor and other sensor lights are lighting up randomly so I'm not sure if there is an emergency or if the sensors are just faulty. Both of these issues could result in an accident. All of this while driving although the sensors are while stationary too.”

NHTSA complaint #11079449, filed 2018-03, 38,000 miles

“Car running in park waiting at bus stop , heard a pop, then smelled smoke, then got out and fire under front passenger side , called 911 and fire went up in flames and completely destroyed whole front of my car everything lost . Got me and son out and that was it. This is a safety risk!!”

NHTSA complaint #11196804, filed 2019-04, 56,000 miles

“I've had two separate occurrences happened to me. The first one I came to a stop sign and made a complete stop, when I went to accelerate my accelerator, brake pedal and steering wheel locked, I had to put the car on park and turn the engine off in the middle of the street, wait a moment, turn it on, it took a while to turn on but then everything went back to normal and I continued my journey. …”
