“When operating the vehicle, especially on turns, the car will cut out and not accelerate when they accelerator is pushed down. It'll leave a lag and then suddenly engage and take off quickly. It's like a studder but has left me trying to turn across traffic and sit in the same spot, paused and not able to move with oncoming traffic headed for me.”
NHTSA complaint #11196502, filed 2019-04, 20,000 miles“Car frequently states oil pressure low despite constant oil changes. Car idles when turning a corner and completely shuts off. Dashboard flashes messages that vehicle must be in park , steering wheel locks up and tells me to push the brake and start button ... I had to do this three times. Very dangerous! Car shut off in 5 p.m. Orlando traffic! Has happened three times in two months.”
NHTSA complaint #11308755, filed 2020-02, 28,000 miles“Purchased new on 23 feb 2019. I checked the oil level at 500 miles and it was a half quart low. I asked the service department by email about this and the response was oil is serviced at 3000 miles. I again asked if I need to bring it in to be topped off. I have not received a response. When it gets to a quart low I will go to the service department. Should not be using this much oil.”
NHTSA complaint #11190372, filed 2019-03, 500 miles“Driving with my child in the vehicle and the car engine cutoff. Luckily I was not in traffic and was able to get the vehicle stopped. Message in dash was something about needing to shift to park. Placed vehicle in park, engine restarted and sputtered for a moment, then continued as normal. Only happened once. Dealership said it was likely due to low oil level (approximately 2500 miles since oil change).”
NHTSA complaint #11341140, filed 2020-07, 20,000 miles“I can be driving and the engine will just cut out. Will start again but stops every few minutes. This happened also when I purchased it in october 2018. The dealership had it for two weeks and said there was nothing wrong with it. It finally just stopped stalling on it's own but now it has returned!”
