“Right head light has blown at least once a year for the past six years. Same is true for the front right turn signal bulb. I checked the internet and the same or similar complaint can be found on numerous occasions Kia denies that there is any problem. I was on a trip one night when the head lamp blew and was very nerve racking because I feared that the other lamp blowing would leave me without any visibility.”

NHTSA complaint #10487900, filed 2012-12, 92,000 miles

“The electrical system has shorts and harness issues all over. You had a recent recall, but not involving 2006 sedonas only 2007. Our vehicle has same issue as found in the recent recall. The airbag light is on and I have never had an accident. The lighting is also affected due to the wiring harness. I have one blinker I constantly replace and same with one front head lamp. I have seen other complaints of the same thing with the same exact vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10505533, filed 2013-04, 65,690 miles

“My 2006 Kia Sedona airbag light would come on and then go off after driving for a few miles or a couple days and this happened periodically on and off for a couple years. It has now stayed on for the last 4 months. Turned on the van one day and the airbag light never went off. Was sitting in my driveway on a flat surface. My van had a hundred and fifty-one thousand miles on it when the light came on and now has a hundred and fifty-three thousand miles. I bought this as a new van in 2007. It was a left over. …”

NHTSA complaint #10885206, filed 2016-07, 151,500 miles

“The low-beam headlights (especially the right side) keeps blowing out. I have replaced/changed more than 6 times since owing my van. It keeps blowing; researched for recalls but there aren't none. Looking online I see that this is an issue with all 2006 Kia Sedona's. This last time that it happened, I was on my way to wisconsin from massachusetts and my light went out. It was a scary situation because it made the travel experience scary and dangerous. I didn't have my low-beam and was forced to use my high beam. …”

NHTSA complaint #10562214, filed 2014-01, 107,931 miles

“This complaint is regarding a single-owner 2006 Kia Sedona. Since 2006 I have had numerous electrical related problems. Over half the buttons and knobs on the stock cd player/radio have not worked for approximately eight years. I am having to replace headlight and turn signal bulbs every few months. The airbag indicator light is illuminated and will not shut off. I have not been involved in any accidents (yet) and would expect my airbags to deploy if and when necessary. My understanding is that the airbags will not function if the indicator light is illuminated. …”
