Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“When the ABS brakes activate while going at a very slow speed during snowy or rainy weather the steering wheel locks and the dashboard lights come on. I have no control of the car. It's very scary. Very much a safety issue. I took it to the shop, but they didn't come up with anything. It has happened about 5 times over the past 2 years. The mileage varies. The most recent incident the vehicle had 210,000 miles”

NHTSA complaint #11374697, filed 2020-11, 210,000 miles

“About 18mo after owning the van we started to have issues with shifting from park to other gears. It keeps getting worse as time goes on. Now I have had to remove the shift nob and depress the linkage to get it out of and into gear.”

NHTSA complaint #10732176, filed 2015-07, 12,000 miles

“Kia Sedona recall on hood latch and front lower control arms related to vibration/steering. I expect the dealer to pick up, fix and return the vehicle. Dealer indicated they would not. My having to deliver and pick up the vehicle would be an expense to me through no fault of mine. Recalls should cover all expenses including pick up and delivery. My dealer is 2 hours away!”

NHTSA complaint #10896838, filed 2016-08

“The contact owned a 2012 Kia Sedona. While driving 30 MPH in rainy weather conditions, the vehicle veered to the right, crashed into a curb, and rolled over. The air bags failed to deploy. The rear passenger sustained a chin injury that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000. The VIN was not available.”
