“During a torrential downpour my car began leaking while parked on the street. The leaking subsided once the rain stopped. The headliner and my heated seats both got wet due to this issue. When I contacted the dealer in regard to this issue I was informed that this was a known issue and I would need to file a claim through my insurance or pay out of pocket. To my knowledge the windshield has never been replaced and this is the first time I have experienced this issue as I previously kept my car in a garage.”

NHTSA complaint #11372763, filed 2020-11, 59,600 miles

“Suddenly noticed water on the console snd driver side mats. Then felt interior header lining soaked, sun visors, side pilars and dashboard wet. Also roof shade very wet. Called rr dealer. Tild me to bring it in. Never told me it was not under warranty. Charged me 408.00 for a ridiculous diagnostic check, told me my brakes and tires needed replacement which I knew I told them before hand. The final sentence in the video says there is a leak coming fromvthe windshield somewhere but cannot repair it. Now, its raining in nyc snd my car is soaked. …”

NHTSA complaint #11415070, filed 2021-05, 42,800 miles

“Whenever it rains, the windshield leaks on the passenger side of my vehicle. I had it inspected at the local Land Rover dealership and was told, it's a thing , and was informed it would cost me $2,000 to repair it. This issue has not yet caused any safety concerns, but the dashboard instruments are beginning to fail, which could be an indicator of water damage.”

NHTSA complaint #11515882, filed 2023-04

“The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated while reversing the vehicle, water inadvertently poured all over the contact. The contact notice that water was leaking from behind the rearview mirror. The dealer was contacted and informed about the incident. The dealer stated that the vehicle was already repaired under an unknown recall and that the repair had to be paid for out-of-pocket. The manufacture was contacted but offered no assistance. The contact was referred back to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was 61,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11496082, filed 2022-12, 61,000 miles

“Water ingress manufacturing defect caused major electrical failures, including all central console components & mold/mildew growth due to inconspicuous 1st leak. Official Land Rover dealership replaced windshield in 2019 under warranty based on TSB N221. Another leak occurred in 2020 during pandemic, but no repairs completed. The last water leak in 5/2021 resulted in water visibly dripping onto interior surfaces by windshield. …”
