Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Driving at highways speeds in the evening and lost power in both headlights for about one second. This happened twice on my way home within minutes of each other. Each time my lights went out I heard a clicking sound near the glove compartment. I took the car to the dealership and they replaced both headlights. I have not had a issue since but it was very scary to lose my headlights driving home on the highway at night.”

NHTSA complaint #10503633, filed 2013-03, 44,000 miles

“My 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is equipped with a keyless entry and push button start. While the key is inside the vehicle, as a safety feature, the vehicle can not be locked from the outside at all times. However, this safety feature malfunctioned today leaving my 2 year old son locked on the inside of the vehicle with my car key on the inside. This happened when I placed my son inside the vehicle and my purse(with my car key inside) and have to go to the other side of the vehicle to open the door for my 4 year old daughter. Upon opening the door, it was locked. …”

NHTSA complaint #10362956, filed 2010-10, 11,328 miles

“Electrical fault occurs randomly at any speed. Air compressor fails, turn signals fail, windows malfunction, TPMS warning, infotainment failure, occasional failure of suspension stabilization. Locks will not work and engine will not start but if started all of the above happens but engine runs normally. Multiple attempts to repair. No solution. Unplugging wiring harness under glove box will reset and allow start but issue recurs very frequently while driving.”

NHTSA complaint #10730900, filed 2015-06, 23,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH, there was an abnormal increase in engine rpms up to 4000. The vehicle then stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle stating that there was a problem with the software. The software was updated by the dealer yet the failure persisted. The vehicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 4,113 and the current mileage was 6,500.”
