“Aug 3, 2015 car dial shifter put in park, stopped on my 10% grade driveway. Car was on! Left to check mail box with door open, noticed car was moving very slow. Went back to car tried to reach brake, leg was caught in car and speed picked up evidently in reverse, fell on back, car door rolled over me with legs over head. Snapped 5 hamstring tendons, 2 avulsion fractures. I had reported on this site. Never heard back. Now jeep has a recall on the same type of computerized gear shifter. …”
NHTSA complaint #10884136, filed 2016-07, 10,500 miles“Fuel tanks shields have rotted. I have researched this and it appears that the reason this problem occurs is because of a process called galvanic corrosion. The fuel tank shield is bolted onto an aluminum heat shield, and the pairing of these two different metals accelerates the corrosion. Land Rover has acknowledged this problem and it’s given priority due to the fact that this is a safety issue being that these shields are also responsible for holding the tanks in place.”
