“The dashboard on my 2006 Lexus rx330 has deteriorated over time. There are cracks in the dash, and soft spots that reflect sunlight as glare to the occupants of the car. My Lexus dealership (Lexus of tampa bay, fl) has so far been unable to help me with the dashboard defect. They told me toyota corporate won't acknowledge the defect, nor provide any relief, especially since my car is out of warranty. I should note my car is kept in a garage, and the dashboard is only exposed to the florida sun when I am driving (with the air conditioning on).”
NHTSA complaint #10619116, filed 2014-08, 58,123 miles“My car exploded- huge fire. I was not driving- it had been parked. The fire marshal indicated that it was an electrical problem located near the battery. There we no indicators of any issues. I only had liability on the car- so i am out of luck. but the NYFD inspected. It happened on Wednesday 9/29/21. Was inspected on 9/30.”
