2022: “Electrical System. Yes. While driving in traffic both on surface streets and the freeway the power in my vehicle stopped. The vehicle went from Drive to Park on its own. The battery light came on. The Start/Stop light went from solid green to blinking green. Vehicles around me had to stop suddenly to avoid a collision and the wait until I could restart the vehicle. This has happened a few times. No. No.”
NHTSA complaint #11512303, filed 2023-032023: “I want to bring to your attn something I feel is quite hazardous, but is no longer a worry for me. The chief mechanic took it for a drive. He could not duplicate the problem . My wife and I , on our own, solved this. …”
NHTSA complaint #11539422, filed 2023-082024: “I was advised by Lincoln that a potential plug in hybrid battery flaw could result in damage to the vehicle and its occupants. This flaw has been the subject of two Lincoln recalls /customer satisfaction notices. (25SC4 and 26N15). The first of these addressed the potential issue through software turning off 20% of the battery cells, and a resultant significant loss of miles the car can go on battery. Lincoln refuses to do the second unless the problem arises suddenly, putting me and my family at risk for a sudden catastrophic incident. …”
