“I was driving out of the parking lot suddenly anxious about the gas pedal because however hard I pressed it, the car wouldn't move ahead. I managed to get onto the main road with the emergency wrench coming up along with the driver airbag and zero mileage for the car indicating. However, this was lucky because it didn't happen on highway, I was extremely stressed out standing in the lane to turn to highway. I changed my mind, turned around, and returned to the parking lot at a crawl. …”

NHTSA complaint #10550569, filed 2013-11, 40,000 miles

“In states where road salt is used, ford is recalling certain vehicles where the license plate lamp assembly may experience an electro-chemical reaction and corrosion as a result of water intrusion. Ford's list of recalled vehicles appear to be very narrow. My 2007 Lincoln MKX (three years prior to the current recall list) has the same problem - one of the 2 license plate lights is corroded and quit working (it was rusted and fell apart when I went to replace it). I expect the other light isn't far behind. …”

NHTSA complaint #10616439, filed 2014-07, 78,000 miles

“Vehicle misfire and stall while driving caused by damaged power control module (pcu) and faulty/damaged ignition coil. Service bullitn issued: TSB 14-0059 mil on with DTCS - p0351, p0352, p0353, p0354, p0355, and/or p0356 - built on or before 3/1/2008 publication date: march 20, 2014”

NHTSA complaint #10811949, filed 2015-12, 72,000 miles

“This is my parent's vehicle (2007 Lincoln MKX) and information is being entered on their behalf. While driving at 55 MPH, there was a pop which made the driver think she may have run over something, which she did not. Driver slowed and vehicle then started vibrating & hesitating. Engine light came on and vehicle would not accelerate above 45 MPH (speed limit increased to 70 MPH on hwy and vehicle speed could have caused an accident if other drivers were not aware of a slow moving vehicle). …”

NHTSA complaint #11014078, filed 2017-08, 66,000 miles

“Multiple low beam headlamp harness plugs have melted. Other running light plugs have also shown heat damage and caused the light to fail to work. Bulbs are not failing but the receptacle/plug where they connect to the vehicle shows heat damage and melting until the light looses connection. I have replaced both low beam headlight plugs already and am getting ready to replace them again. This bulb/plug design probably affects other models and probably other manufacturers too.”
