“Click and grinding from front end when turning. Eventually bearings had to be replaced and it was only 1 year old. A couple months later right front wheel broke off while driving and almost crashed, it took ford over a month until I got my vehicle back, now rear shocks are leaking and need to be replaced under warranty, I was just told today that the transmission is leaking due to a faulty part that is broken. The car is only 3 years old!”
NHTSA complaint #10374850, filed 2011-01, 22,000 miles“Approximately 18 months ago, I had the lower control arm replaced on my vehicle, as it was found to be faulty and covered under warranty. When replaced, I was told that I should not experience any additional problems with it. Today, I took my car back to the dealership, and I was told that the control arm was faulty again and needs to replaced. This time, it's not covered under warranty. In reading many of the complaints about this particular model year, I notice that many people have had the same issue, which leads me to believe that there is a manufacturer defect in the parts being used.”
NHTSA complaint #10681529, filed 2015-02, 140,140 miles“Front suspension clunk. When turning left or driving over rough roads I notice a clunk or click. I had brought this to the ford / Lincoln dealers attention and they said that ford is working on the fix and it was not dangerous. I asked for my paperwork for the various repairs that were looked at or completed and they said that they were going to keep it until they heard back from ford. I don't want some potential problem to go unnoticed. I believe this problem is linked to the failure of the suspension. …”
