“There are several recalls on this vehicle including air bags. We have made several attempts over the years to get any of these done with zero success. The dealership just keeps telling us to come back. Our air bag light comes on and goes out all the time. The lights fill with water after washing or if it rain causing the headlights to short out and blow the bulbs. The engine rattles everytime you crank the car and then goes away. We have changed the oil regularly and it still does it.”
NHTSA complaint #10972337, filed 2017-04, 130,000 miles“Nov. 2015 I was involved in a accident on i435 in which the airbags deployed which I inhaled the gas, which disoriented me for awhile. After regaining my senses discovered my vehicle was totaled.”
NHTSA complaint #11041933, filed 2017-11, 67,000 miles“Abs light on dash display, dealer advised had to order a module. Stopped to get gas while I was out of town and airbag deployed scaring myself and my two passengers. I was thank goodness not in vehicle. Only driverside airbag deployed and seatbelt tightened up and broke the plastic around the door frame.”
NHTSA complaint #10263020, filed 2009-03, 27,000 miles“When driving with cruise control on. The highway at 65 MPH, I try to turn it off by depressing the brake, the brake is stiff and will not disengage. The only way to disengage is by pushing the on off button on steering wheel.”
NHTSA complaint #11330738, filed 2020-06, 97,000 miles“Takata recall. When replacing the airbag the airbag light on the dash came on. When taking the vehicle back for second airbag replacement the dealer was notified that the light had come on. The dealer stated that it was a coincidence and had nothing to do with the fact that they had just worked on the system. I wonder if this has been an issue and what is the fail rate of the seat sensor at the time of work being done or if this is a way to recoup money for the service.”
