Example complaints

One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

2019: “A few times my key will not function to start the car. They told me it was the battery. But the display on my lcd also often does not function when on car play. The steering is jerked when I turn the wheels as they seem to get stuck on the pavement. Often happens when I am backing out of a parking space and sounds as if I am hitting someone. Feels like it too”

NHTSA complaint #11326592, filed 2020-05, 20 miles

2018: “This vehicle is being sold with all-season tires and no spare tire or flat tire inflator kit. We experienced a flat tire and were stranded for several hours with now way to change our flat tire. Mercedes offers mbrace emergency service, but this took long to respond. This vehicle should come with run flat tires and or a way to inflate a flat.”

NHTSA complaint #11113193, filed 2018-07, 5,000 miles

2021: “2021 Mercedes GLC 43 headlight is inoperable. Same as reported in campaign 22V261000: Headlight failure can decrease visibility for both the driver and surrounding traffic, increasing the risk of a crash. Although our car was produced before the dates reported in campaign 22V261000, I believe this is the same defect and the recall should apply to all MY 2021 cars as this is a serious safety issue. The dealer will not repair under warranty.”
