2015: “This mb model has an electric motor that fails at around 35000 to 40000 miles, and makes the vehicle to stop suddenly causing serious risks to the driver if this happens in any main highway. 2014: “This is an electric vehicle. When slowing down the paddle shifters can be used to put the car in 'd-' mode, for more aggressive engine braking. This increases the rate of decl without using the mechanical brakes. This has worked well for four years and 65,000 miles. Today there was a 'one time' malfunction. I did the usual 'd-' 'down shift' to slowdown from 30 MPH, in traffic, for red light. The car did not aggressively slow down and I applied the brakes. I noticed the car need excessive break pedal pressure to make what should be a normal stop. …”

2016: “On 4/19/22 while driving my Mercedes B250e, I received a 'check coolant level' warning message, followed closely by 'without starting engine again, consult workshop' and then 'stop, switch engine off'. All messages appeared in less than 30 minutes time, and then my engine completely shut off while I was pulling into a parking lot. Prior to this date, there were no warning signs of the issue. The issue was diagnosed by the Mercedes Atlanta South dealership as a catastrophic electric drive unit failure caused by a coolant leak due to a faulty rotor seal. …”
