Example complaints

Electrical system: “My vehicle battery overheated. The dealership was unable to identify the cause. I have since learned there is a battery recall on this make and model, and I believe the recall needs to be expanded to include my vehicle and the overheating was likely caused by the battery failing.”

NHTSA complaint #11767494, filed 2026-09

Fuel system: “This safety recall is over six months old and is still unresolved. I have not felt safe driving the vehicle on the highway because of the possibility of complete power loss. I have been forced to keep paying lease payments on a car I can't drive and the manufacturer has been unresponsive. When I plug the car in to charge, all the lights in the house dim. My other EV does not do this so it must be a serious problem with this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11710665, filed 2026-01

Other or unknown: ““My 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 is subject to NHTSA recall 26V073 involving a high-voltage battery defect that may cause a fire. The manufacturer has instructed me to limit charging to 80% and to park the vehicle outside due to fire risk. This significantly reduces the vehicle’s usable range and creates safety concerns. Due to this 80% charging limitation, the vehicle no longer provides sufficient range for my daily commute and cannot be reliably used for its intended purpose. …”
