2020: “I was travelling on highway with adaptive cruise control on. When near the exit, I press the off button for the cruise control. To my surprise, the car didn't slow down, and instead maintain the engine power to keep the car in set speed. I tried the other settings (off, cancel, speed down) option but nothing is responsive. Since I am on the off ramp already, I have to step on the brake (this does finally stop the cruise control) to slow down the car. …”
NHTSA complaint #11376864, filed 2020-11, 5,300 miles2016: “Car stalled on the highway then towed to the dealership. Dealership stated the fuel line was flooded with water. The service manager stated that I let the trunk open in the rain, but I did no such thing. There was also no water in the trunk of the car. This seems to be a defect when the vehicle is exposed to normal rainy conditions. There is no way water should be able to get to the fuel line because it should be insulated against moisture. Corporate thought there was flooding in the area, but there is no flooding in dallas, texas. …”
NHTSA complaint #11141472, filed 2018-10, 11,000 miles2021: “The 48v battery after driving new vehicle only 230 miles goes dead. The auto will not start and cannot be jump started. Result is being stranded roadside. Required a tow. Mercedes says dead battery (brand new) needs to be replaced. Battery went dead on december 10. Dealer tells me no batteries are available in the us. A battery is promised for delivery from germany on or about january 11, 2021.”
