Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The drivers door failed to latch.the car was not damaged in any way or broken into. Fortunately the car wasnt moving at the time, there was no reason for it to fail. The drivers door and passenger door had to be tied together with rope in interior of car to drive it to dealer. I also had to hold on the door to prevent it from opening. The dealer made the repair with a clip and new latch, however I was held responsible for the 118.00 bill. If this isnt a safety issue then I dont know what else it could be. A drivers door latch should never fail at 60287 miles! …”
