Example complaints

Fuel system: “I just had to pay for a repair for the fuel filler pipe. It was leaking as I would fill the car with gas. This model had a recall for this problem but my car VIN was not included.t he part they put down on the bill was the recall kit . I feel that mine should have been covered also.”

NHTSA complaint #11329071, filed 2020-06, 125,000 miles

Electrical system: “The initial issue is the seat belts in the rear fail to return and/or do not come out. The more recent issue is the rear tailgate which is now failing to open unless done mechanically by climbing over back seat and attempting to access switch internally. We are being told by our mechanic that it is an issue with the internal computer”

NHTSA complaint #10394589, filed 2011-03, 45,000 miles

Other or unknown: “Windshield randomly fogs over. Heat switches randomly between heat and AC. Gas pedal sticks even when applying pressure to brakes car acts like the gas pedal is floored. Car lunges forward even when brakes are applied. Vehicle can be stationary and still lunges also has happened when it's in motion has happened in city and and rural areas.”

NHTSA complaint #11139913, filed 2018-10, 169,289 miles

Body and structure: “Originally the liftgate would not open only the glass top would open. A common issue according to several Mitsubishi Endeavor owner forums for endeavors from 2004 to 2008. Recently both liftgate and glass would not open at all unless I used the manual release located on the inside part of the liftgate. However, while driving recently the liftgate and or glass top actuated itself causing the liftgate to unlock on its own and open. If it were not for the dinging of the dash informing me one of my doors was open I would have never noticed. …”
