Example complaints

Engine: “The car totally shut down multiple times without warning while I was driving. The first time that I took it to the dealer it saw thought the problem was a faulty sensor in the transmission. The sensor was replaced. 4 days later the same thing happened again. The second time that this happened the dealer replaced the whole computer. I no longer have the SUV.”

NHTSA complaint #10568060, filed 2014-03, 20,000 miles

Brakes: “While driving at 45-50 miles per hour, skid and brake lights came on. Immediatly all tires looked and the vehicle skid of the road. I was unable to brake or stop the vehicle, it slid and over turned until it came to a stop on it's own. Before this my heat(A/C unit) went out on it's own as well as the wipers.”

NHTSA complaint #10787798, filed 2015-11, 56,000 miles

Electrical system: “My Nissan Armada caught fire. My front driver seat got very hot to the point of burning. Pulled over to get an application for my child's daycare. Pulled my son or to go with me and left my daughter in the car watching a movie while I went in by the time I reached the door I hear my kids yelling. I turned and looked the car was filed with smoke. Thank god for good hearted people that help me get the kid's out the car. I'm contacting a lawyer about this.”

NHTSA complaint #11071679, filed 2018-02, 84,000 miles

Suspension: “While driving at 50mph or higher, normal highway speed, it feels the car is kindly floating on the road and does not has a firm contact with the surface, on a perfectly sunny dry day. The feeling is like having tail spin a little. I've been having this experience ever since it was new, and in addition, the alignment is off from new, 1000-2000 mile new, and I always have to pull to the left to compensate. I went to dealer and reported this around 10k/15k miles, and they recommended alignment, and we did. However, problem persist. Just yesterday, the rear axle just gave up and broke. …”
