Example complaints

Electrical system: “I am reporting recurring failures involving the vehicle's electronic control systems. These issues have been documented with the dealership on multiple occasions and a Nissan District Technical Service Manager (DTSM) has also inspected the vehicle. Nissan has not been able to replicate the issues as they are intermittent. Braking System: When sitting at a stop light, where I had my foot on the brake, I heard a pump/whooshing sound from the front of the vehicle while the brake pedal suddenly traveled to the floor. On two separate occasions, the pedal has also become rock-hard. …”

Transmission and drivetrain: “Brand‑new 2026 Nissan Armada suffered catastrophic engine failure at under 5,000 miles. Fault codes P21A1, P0019, P0326, and P219C were identified by an ASE Master Technician. Technician warned of internal mechanical failure and a risk of fire or explosion. Vehicle became undriveable and was towed to the dealership. Technician instructed that the engine should not be started due to safety risk.”

NHTSA complaint #11732098, filed 2026-04

Fuel system: “Fuel tank check valve and charcoal canister full of fuel. Fuel vapors in cabin causing headaches and dizzyness while driving and having a 4 year in the vehicle also breathing in the vapors. Dealer couldnt and wouldnt reproduce as i stated. Nissan engineer came out and recreated as i stated by filling the gas tank up. It was inspected by Avondale Nissan service department and they stated nothing is wrong with it, which was false. The were no warning lamps or engine lights on the dash. Vehicle spent 48 days at the dealership broken until dealership could get a new tank and charcoal canister.”

NHTSA complaint #11763860, filed 2026-09

Other or unknown: “I was driving back to work with no other vehicles close by, I heard what sounded like a shotgun. Looked back and saw my sunroof had exploded. Once I parked and checked to see if anything had fallen into my vehicle. I found absolutely nothing. Keep in mind, I had just finished cleaning out my car and there was nothing that would of exploded in my vehicle.”
