“Took my Nissan Frontier to pacific Nissan in san diego for a consistent jerk/knock with sound of liquid gurgling. Notified that I was lucky that the truck made it to the shop. Notified that there is a fluid intermix between my coolant and transmission fluids. How can that be when they are two totally different systems? Nissan is offering that I pay the deductible of 3000$ to get it fixed. …”

“Gas gauge quit working goes between half and quarter tank and stops, letting you run out of gas. Next item is timing chain howl on cold starts for over a year now then I read bulletin that chain tensioners are wearing and causing timing chain failures and Nissan has never notified owners I was just in to dealer about gas gauge problem about 2 weeks ago and no one mentioned timing chain problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10564596, filed 2014-02, 52,000 miles

“The radiator fluid leaked into the transmission and ruined the transmission. I understand that this is a known problem by Nissan and they never notified us. If we had been told about the problem before the radiator leak we would have fixed it and would never have had to replace the transmission. We contacted Nissan consumer affairs and they refused to help pay for this so we were stuck with paying over $5000 for a new transmission.”

“I own a 2007 Nissan Frontier le crew cab 4x4 and I have owned since it has had 72,000 miles on it. Last monday while driving to work my truck shut off in the middle of hwy 53 and locked up the steering and almost took my life. Due to the fact Nissan has ignored their radiators are faulty leaking into the transmission, I am left with my truck sitting in the yard. I am a 22 year old male with 2 jobs and a full time student without a way to continue to purse my dream of becoming a physical therapist.”
