“I took my truck to temecula Nissan and had it check, they told me my air bag would not open if I was in an accident, faulty spiral cable-p1564,faulty vent control valve-p0448, faulty fuel tank sending unit- p0463 this are things that need to be fixed, some of them are on a recall list but I was told it expired. So I could die behind this.”
NHTSA complaint #10745025, filed 2015-07, 150,000 miles“Fuel guage doesn't work correctly. Sometimes it show the right level and other times it shows empty or somewhere in between. Ran out of fuel the other day on the highway. I know there was a recall on this for 2006 -2008, but it says my VIN number doesn't have a recall for this.”
NHTSA complaint #11119539, filed 2018-08, 133,000 miles“The check engine light came on while starting the truck. It was place on the diagnostic machine and the result was that a sensor in the gas tank was not working. I received a recall notice one week after the warranty had expired. The notice stated that the warranty would take care of the problem. I emailed Nissan to complain and never heard from them.”
NHTSA complaint #10548378, filed 2013-10, 120,000 miles“My service engine light remains on. My gas guage will fluctuate from empty even tho it is full to half full when it is empty I saw a recall for this problem for the 2006 and 2008 models but not for my 2007. I checked to see if there were any recalls for my truck and there were not. Please help.”
NHTSA complaint #10789929, filed 2015-11, 40,000 miles“Gas gauge quit working goes between half and quarter tank and stops, letting you run out of gas. Next item is timing chain howl on cold starts for over a year now then I read bulletin that chain tensioners are wearing and causing timing chain failures and Nissan has never notified owners I was just in to dealer about gas gauge problem about 2 weeks ago and no one mentioned timing chain problem.”
